Notification of works

Undergrounding Powerlines on Lower North East Road, Campbelltown

July 2022 to November 2022 - Update

SA Power Networks is working in partnership with the Campbelltown City Council to underground powerlines along a section of Lower North East Road. This work will revitalise Campbelltown’s Retail Precinct and improve the streetscape for this vibrant community.

More information on the project is available at the City of Campbelltown's website.

The work

Commencing Monday 11 July until Thursday 14 July, we will be undergrounding powerlines along Lower North East Road between Hill Street/Brooker Avenue and Church Street, including the Gorge Road intersection. The majority of roadworks will be undertaken at night to minimise the impact on road users.

The installation of new underground cables along Lower North East Road will commence on Friday 8 July to be completed by the end of July.

Alteration of some private connections may be required, and customers will be notified of any alterations or outages closer to the scheduled date.

Some noise disturbances can be expected at times while these activities are completed, however, the work will be managed to minimise disruption as much as practically possible.

Dates are subject to change in the event of delays caused by weather or other issues.

Safety

There will be intermittent parking and driveway access restrictions throughout our work. We will provide advance notification if your property is to be impacted.

Pedestrian access will be available via footpaths with some minor redirections around work areas.

Please plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and take extra care when workers are on site. Observe speed limits, lane restrictions and traffic controllers when travelling through the area.

Power outages

Some power interruptions will be required to allow crews to complete electrical upgrades safely. We will send advance notification to all customers affected by these interruptions closer to the interruption date.

If you have not already registered, you can sign up for free SMS / email updates using the NMI from your power bill. This is the best way to keep updated about work affecting your property.
