As one of South Australia's largest organisations, SA Power Networks plays a leadership role in the community and takes environmental responsibility very seriously.
Environmental management is core business for SA Power Networks. From recycling a significant portion of our waste and working with councils to preserving native vegetation, to installing pollution control measures and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, we take a proactive approach to protecting the environment and the communities we serve.
These prudent environmental management practices have become embedded in SA Power Networks' business culture. Due to the continually evolving nature of this field, SA Power Networks' Environmental Management Plan requires ongoing updating. Accordingly, the 2013 Plan identifies clear and appropriate objectives for dealing with environmental issues associated with SA Power Networks' business activities.
