SA Power Networks employees are very committed to working in and for the community, working countless hours behind the scenes, directly making or raising donations for charity and volunteering with community organisations.
The SA Power Networks Employee Foundation is a charitable trust established in September 2006 to formalise and coordinate the significant contribution of SA Power Networks employees to the South Australian community.
The Foundation's main aim is to increase both corporate and individual involvement in the community, and to act as the central point through which employee fundraising and volunteering initiatives are coordinated and managed.
The Foundation also facilitates the collection and distribution of donations received from employees - matched dollar-for-dollar by SA Power Networks up to a value of $50,000.
The vision of the Employee Foundation is:
'Employees coming together to make a difference to the quality of life in our community through volunteering and giving.'
The Foundation is a separate corporation to SA Power Networks and is managed on a day-to-day basis by a Management Committee, comprising eight employee-elected representatives and three Trustee nominated representatives.
The Management Committee acts as the interface between the Foundation, employees and charities and is responsible for aligning the Foundation's activities with the vision; coordinating workplace giving; fundraising and volunteering and selecting charities to benefit from the funds donated and the volunteering hours.
The Foundation's Management Committee has identified key causes to support. Find out more about who we support.
