Frome Road, Rundle Street and East Terrace Adelaide

What we are doing

We are repairing underground cables along Frome Road, Rundle Street and East Terrace in Adelaide. This work will ensure the reliability of the electricity supply to customers in the area.

How this affects you

We will be working overnight for two weeks, starting Sunday 11 August until the morning of Thursday 22 August. Our work will take place at night, from 9pm to 5am, to minimise disruption to road users, pedestrians, and businesses. Most of our work will involve accessing manholes in the roadway. Traffic management will be in place, with some lane closures and detours. There will be parking and driveway restrictions around our work zones.

Night work start date and locations:

  • 11 August: along Frome Road from the corner of North Terrace to Rundle Street.
  • 12 August: on Rundle Street, from Frome Road to Ebenezer Place.
  • 13 August: on Rundle Street, from Ebenezer Place to East Terrace intersection.
  • 14 August: along East Terrace from Rundle Street intersection to Grenfell Street intersection.
  • 19 August: along East Terrace from Rundle Street intersection to Grenfell Street intersection.
  • 20 August: along Frome Road from the corner of North Terrace to Rundle Street.
  • 21 August: on Rundle Street, between Union Street and East Terrace.

Work hours may vary slightly due to weather or other events outside of our control.

Power outages

There will be power outages associated with this work and if you are affected you will be notified separately.

If you do not already receive free SMS/email updates about your power, you can sign up for outage alerts, or call us on 13 12 61 for assistance. You need the National Meter Identifier (NMI) from your electricity bill to subscribe.

Nuisance

Some noise and lights will be associated with our work.

Our crews will reduce any disruption as much as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation during this essential work.
