This handbook has been developed to assist Retailers and their Metering Service Providers (Meter Coordinator, Meter Provider and Meter Data Provider), with the contestable electricity market in South Australia. Its purpose is to ensure consistent understanding between SA Power Networks, Retailers and Meter Providers.

This document details the parameters for processes and interactions which exist between SA Power Networks, Retailers and Meter Providers to put into practice the parties’ legal obligations under energy laws, where they have not been detailed elsewhere or where greater clarification is required.

Stobie pole art is becoming more popular in enhancing the amenity of our streetscapes. SA Power Networks is supportive of individuals and organisations in painting or installing mosaic artworks on Stobie poles. However, it is important to ensure that certain requirements are followed for the safety and enjoyment of the community and everyone involved in creating artworks on Stobie poles. 

You will need to have met the requirements from SA Power Networks, as outlined in the guidelines, and seek approval from the relevant local council in the area that the Stobie pole is located in. 

Endorsement from SA Power Networks is automatically granted if all conditions in the Network Info for Industry and Contractors 211 (NICC211) document are being met.

This Technical Standard specifies the standard trench, conduit, retaining walls and Civil works requirements for a new or upgraded installation that will be a component of SA Power Networks' distribution network.

This technical standard is to be applied to any design involving the installation of underground cables of 33kV or less that will become a component of SA Power Networks' distribution network.
