Portal customer frequently asked questions (FAQs)

The FAQs have been written to support customers submitting applications through SA Power Networks' Portal for Negotiated Connections and Asset Relocations.

In the first instance please refer to the SA Power Networks Portal Troubleshooting Guide which steps through how to login and troubleshoot. If you are still experiencing issues, please send an email to customerservice@sapowernetworks.com.au or contact us on 13 12 61.

The application form provides all the required information for your application upfront. This will ensure you are provided with accurate pricing and project timelines. You will also be able to see your assigned SA Power Networks project contact and have greater visibility over your project as we develop portal features. 

An application should be submitted during the early planning phase of a project. You will be required to provide detailed information for the request to be able to submit the application however it is expected that some of the details of the request may change prior to signing the firm offer letter as we work with you to confirm the requirements of your request. 

No, you can save your application and return to finish it later. Your draft applications are available from your portal home page or request page. 

Your draft applications are available from your portal Home page or Requests page. You can also use the Filter Request feature on the Request page to search for your application. 

If you are unsure of some of the details, please provide the best answer to your knowledge and we will work with you directly to confirm the details. If you don't have the technical knowledge required to submit the request, we recommend engaging an electrician or consultant to assist you. 

Yes, your submitted applications are available from your portal home page or request page. You can click into individual requests to view all the details of your submitted application.  

After you submit your application, a message will appear on the screen confirming your application has been submitted. You will also receive an email and SMS confirming your application has been received. 

Once an SA Power Networks Project Officer has been assigned to your connection request their name and contact information will appear within your submitted application form on the overview screen. 

Contact your assigned Project Officer to discuss the required changes. They will work with you to ensure we have the updated details of your connections request. 

Not yet, this feature is still being developed and will be available in future releases.  

No, only applications submitted through the portal will be visible in the portal. 

Please check whether your request type is covered under any of the other available portal applications. If you cannot see your request type, please submit a Customer Enquiry application through the portal. We are continuing to develop applications for other request types. 

To have visibility over requests submitted by your organisation in the portal you will need to be listed as a one of the contacts within each application form.
