Kelvin Trimper Scholarship (2) 905 x 428

SA Power Networks and Energy Consumers Australia are inviting applications for the 2027 Kelvin Trimper Consumer Advocacy Scholarship.

The scholarship honours the legacy of Kelvin Trimper AM, a respected urban development leader, horticulturist and advocate for energy consumers. As the former Deputy Chair of SA Power Networks Community Advisory Board, Kelvin helped ensure community perspectives were considered in discussions about South Australia's energy future.

The scholarship

The Kelvin Trimper Scholarship aims to support an individual or an organisation to build their knowledge or to research innovative ideas and or initiatives that will improve outcomes for consumers in the Australian energy sector.

Funding of up to $10,000 is available to support research, training, programs or initiatives that focus on consumer advocacy and delivering better outcomes for customers in a complex and changing energy market.

Previous recipients

Previous recipients include Alex Fry, whose project explored how a rental property in Brompton could be upgraded to achieve a 10-star energy rating, and Jumeka Saunders, whose project focused on improving energy literacy and awareness in the Nipapanha Aboriginal community in remote South Australia.

Hear from Alex about her scholarship project and its impact.

Hear from Jumeka about her scholarship project and the impact it will have in her community.
