SA Power Networks Community Grants Program supports connection across South Australia
Thirty-four community organisations across South Australia will share more than $152,000 through the 2026 SA Power Networks Community Grants Program.
This year's program focused on Connection, supporting initiatives that bring people together, strengthen community ties and help reduce social isolation.
Grants of up to $5,000 were available for projects that support wellbeing and create opportunities for people to connect within their local communities.
This year’s projects span metropolitan Adelaide and regional South Australia, including Port Lincoln, Port Augusta, Jamestown, Kapunda, Mount Barker, Edithburgh, Pinnaroo and Mount Gambier.
The funded projects reflect the many ways communities connect, from local events and volunteer programs to youth activities, support groups and shared community spaces.
Among this year's recipients, Charles Campbell College will run Joining Generations, an eight-week program bringing students together with older people from local aged-care providers through activities such as storytelling, art, music, cooking and exercise.
In Port Augusta, Together in Pride will host the free Port Augusta Pride Picnic, creating a welcoming opportunity for community members to come together, celebrate diversity and strengthen local connections.
In Kapunda, Light Country Community Centre will fit out a new Food Relief and Community Hub, creating a welcoming space where people can access support and connect with others.
Other funded projects include community barbecues, therapy dog visits, volunteer outreach programs, family support initiatives and upgrades to local community facilities that bring people together.
SA Power Networks CEO Andrew Bills said that as an organisation connected to households and communities across the state, SA Power Networks is committed to supporting initiatives that bring people together in meaningful ways.

The Community Grants Program is part of SA Power Networks' commitment to supporting the communities it serves and investing in projects that help South Australians thrive.
Since the program began in 2022, the SA Power Networks has now given away over $650,000 in grants to support local groups across South Australia.
