Milang substation upgrade
September – December2024
What we’re doing
We will be upgrading the substation at 25 Gun Club Road, Milang to ensure a reliable power supply. This work will be contained within the substation and is starting in September and is estimated to be completed by December 2024. Work won't occur every day during this period.
How this affects you
Most of the work is scheduled to take place during daylight hours, with some work planned for weekends and the possibility of some night work. We will be using trucks, cranes, and heavy machinery during this project. This activity may slow traffic around our substation, and we will have traffic control measures in place around our substation. We don’t expect any road closures required during this work.
Power outages
There will be some power interruptions relating to this work, however we will keep these to an absolute minimum. If you do not already receive free SMS/email updates about your power, you can sign up for outage alerts, or call us for assistance. You need the National Meter Identifier (NMI) from your electricity bill to subscribe.
Other disruption
There will be some noise and dust from our work. Our team will do their best to minimise disruptions as much as possible.
