Damaging winds cause outages across South Australia
Damaging winds have swept across parts of South Australia today, causing power outages and bringing down trees and powerlines.
Customers remain without power due to fallen trees and limbs making contact with the network. Crews are responding to many reports of downed wires and are continuing to work to safely restore power supply.
STAY AT LEAST 10 METRES AWAY FROM ANY LOW OR DOWNED POWERLINES
Our first priority is making wires down safe. We’re also working to restore power to as many customers as possible by rerouting supply through unaffected parts of the network. Full repairs will follow, though some customers may experience extended outages or estimated restoration times that are currently unknown.
