2025 Apprentice of the Year - Celebrating the Nominees and Winner

Apprentice of the year nominees 905 x 428

Graduating from an apprenticeship at SA Power Networks is no small feat. Over four years, our apprentices combine hands-on experience with formal training, building the skills, safety knowledge and teamwork needed to keep the lights on for South Australians.

This year’s graduation class represents depots right across the state – from our busiest metro locations to our most remote regional sites. Together, they’ve worked through everything from day-to-day maintenance to major storm restorations, and each one has earned their place as a qualified tradesperson.

Recognising excellence

Among our graduates are five exceptional 4th Year apprentices who were nominated for the Playford Medal – the highest honour in our apprenticeship program. These nominees stood out for their technical skill, leadership, teamwork and commitment to our values.

The Playford Medal winner was announced as part of the graduation celebrations – a moment that shines a spotlight on the apprentice who has gone above and beyond in their final year.
