Are you ready to build a rewarding career in an industry that's helping to shape South Australia's future?

SA Power Networks' Customer Solutions Cadet Project Officer Program is now open for applications. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience, earn a nationally recognised qualification, and join a team dedicated to powering our community.

What to expect from the program

Our three-year program is designed to transform enthusiastic individuals into skilled Project Officers. You’ll be supported by experienced professionals as you work on crucial projects, from connecting new customers to expanding our network. This isn't just about technical skills; you’ll also develop your problem-solving abilities, learn to collaborate with various teams, and see the tangible impact of your work on the community.

You’ll gain a nationally recognised qualification in either project management or electrical engineering and participate in internal training to build essential skills. With planned rotations every six months, you’ll get a broad range of experience working in both our metro and outer metro depots and at our Keswick headquarters.

After successfully completing the program, you’ll be well-prepared for roles like Project Officer or Powerline Designer, ready to take your career to the next level.

Eligibility and how to apply

To be eligible, you must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, have successfully completed Year 12 (with a preference for Maths, Physics, and English), and hold a current Australian driver’s license. We also highly value previous customer service experience.
