Claims and compensation for insulator pollution outages

Many customers experienced repeated interruptions during this summer and may have concerns about impacts on appliances or electrical equipment.  

Good news. We’ve had confirmation from the State Government that the Small Claims Scheme will apply to some appliance and property damage caused by insulator pollution outages.

Guaranteed Service Level (GSL) payments will apply to customers who meet the relevant thresholds for outage duration or frequency. These payments will be automatically credited to eligible customers on their electricity bills. Learn more here.
