Yorke Peninsula

Current activity

  • Insulator washing and targeted replacement of the most affected insulators are taking place across the region

  • Mobile generation was installed at Minlaton in February to strengthen local supply while other remediation work continues

  • Helicopter insulator washing is taking place from the first week of March

  • Ongoing inspections are underway to identify assets most at risk and prioritise further washing and replacement

Eyre Peninsula

Current activity

  • Insulator washing and targeted replacement of the most affected insulators are taking place across the region

  • Mobile generation was installed at Cowell in February to strengthen local supply while other remediation work continues

  • Helicopter insulator washing is taking place in March

  • Ongoing inspections are underway to identify assets most at risk and prioritise further washing and replacement

Limestone Coast

Current activity

  • Insulator washing and targeted replacement of the most affected insulators are taking place across the region
  • Mobile generation is being installed at Beachport in early March
  • Ongoing inspections to identify assets most at risk and prioritise further washing and replacement

Community meetings

  • A community meeting was held in Beachport on 24 February, with information provided by SA Power Networks.

Kangaroo Island

  • Backup generation is in place at Kingscote on Kangaroo Island 

  • Ongoing inspections are underway to identify assets most at risk and prioritise further washing and replacement
