Tintinara substation upgrade
October – December 2023
What we’re doing
We are upgrading the Tintinara substation to secure the power supply reliability for customers in the area. The project includes replacing two aging high-voltage transformers that were installed in the 1950s with a single modern ground unit.
We will also be upgrading other equipment, removing some poles and some chain mesh fencing, leaving the stock fencing. All work will take place within the substation located at 72 Carcuma Road, Tintinara and is scheduled to start in October, with completion expected by the end of December 2023.
Work will not be conducted every day during this period.
