This technical standard describes SA Power Networks general earthing requirements. It provides guidance to all personnel involved in the planning, design, selection, installation and/or testing of permanent earths associated with high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) installations on the SA Power Networks electricity distribution network. This technical standard is also applicable to electricity supply installed to provide a service point for the connection of a customer from existing low voltage mains.
