How to Print to PDF using your browser

You can easily save a copy of your application, job, or on-screen view as a PDF using your browser’s built-in Print to PDF feature. This is useful if you want to share the details with others, save a record for your own files, or print a physical copy.

This method works across most modern browsers (including Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Safari) and operating systems (Windows 10 & 11, MacOS, Linux etc) – no extra software needed.

Steps to Print to PDF

  1. Open the page you want to save
Navigate to the section of the portal (e.g. completed application, submitted job) that you want to save or print.

  2. Open the print menu
Press Ctrl + P (or Cmd + P on Mac), or right-click anywhere on the page and choose Print.

  3. Select ‘Microsoft Print to PDF’ or ‘Save as PDF’
In the Printer dropdown, choose Microsoft Print to PDF (Windows) or Save as PDF (Chrome, Edge, or Mac).

  4. Adjust the scaling (important!)
To ensure all information fits neatly on the page:
    • Click More settings or Layout options
    • Adjust the Scale setting (e.g. try 75%, 65%, or 50%)
This helps avoid content being cut off or spilling onto extra pages unnecessarily.

  5. Click ‘Print’ and save the file
Choose where to save the file. You can now send it via email, store it in your files, or print it later.

Tips

  • If content is wide, consider switching to Landscape mode, this can help accommodate wider content that may not fit well in the default Portrait mode.

  • Use the Preview window to check before saving, this allows you to see how the PDF will look before you save it, helping to avoid any issues.

  • If your content is being cut off or doesn't fit well on the page, adjusting the scale can help. Try a few different settings to see what works best.
