Public lighting upgrades in Prospect – Stage 1

Tuesday 30 June 2026

What we’re doing

We’re working with the City of Prospect Council to upgrade 280 High-Intensity Discharge (HID) lights to Light Emitting Diode (LED) lights. LED lights represent a modern, energy-efficient lighting solution that combines durability, low energy consumption, and versatility. Our works will also include upgrading existing brackets where required to assist with the removal of lights from tree canopies and increase better luminating of the roadways.

How this affects you

Our contractor Electel will be commencing work in July 2026, and we expect this work to be completed by the end of August 2026. Most of our work will be completed between Monday to Friday 8am to 3pm, with the possibility of night works if required along main roads.
