We are proud of our longstanding partnership with Australia Day Council of South Australia to support their Open Circle Discussion Group, which ensures First Nations peoples' voices and engagement with Australia Day in SA is given prominence.

The 2024 Aus Lights on the River Program was inspired by creative visions of Belonging to Country and Connecting to Nature, with a huge line up of events and activities held over 25 and 26 January.

We supported Mourning in the Morning - Smoking Ceremony, held at Tarntanya Wama (Elder Park). This profound ceremony, shaped by First Nations leaders, is a time for truth telling of our history and provides a genuine opportunity for reconciliation.

This early-morning event welcomed thousands, inviting them to listen, learn and pay respects with a Welcome to Country, smoking ceremony, speaker’s address, cultural dance by Tal-Kin Jeri and thoughtful, uplifting performances by acclaimed First Nations musicians.
