We are proud partners of Adelaide Festival, which recently concluded its 2024 season. We are key sponsors of their Youth and Education Program, ensuring access to the arts for young people.

The Festival's world-class shows provide students with invaluable opportunities to engage with theatre and gain fresh perspectives. Through our collaboration, we support two key access programs: Festival Connect and the Adelaide Festival in Schools initiative. Festival Connect, an inclusive equity program, covers transportation costs for students from Category 1-4 schools to attend Adelaide Festival shows, and also subsidises accommodation for remote or regional schools.

The Adelaide Festival in Schools program recently provided over 130 students from Elizabeth North Primary, Elizabeth Downs Primary, Elizabeth Vale Primary, and Elizabeth South Primary the opportunity to enjoy Guuranda at Her Majesty’s Theatre. Following the performance, students participated in an interactive workshop led by Guuranda’s Artistic Director, Writer & Choreographer, Jacob Boehme, and Narungga Song Woman & Translator, Sonya Rankine. 99 students attended the workshop, which offered cultural interpretation, singing, language learning, dance movements, and a chance to perform collectively.

Andy Boyce, Aboriginal Education Leader at Elizabeth North Primary School, emphasised the importance of connecting students to the community and the arts, stating, “Our Indigenous students from years five and six had a fantastic experience with Jacob and Sonya from Guuranda. They relished hearing the creation stories and thoroughly enjoyed connecting with each other through song and dance.”
