SA Government Dynamic Export Limit Requirements and SA Power Networks Flexible Exports expansion now live

The new SA Government Dynamic Export Limit Requirements are now live.

Coinciding with these new requirements, SA Power Networks has commenced the progressive rollout of Flexible Exports option, starting with 37 suburbs currently in the Flexible Exports trial area.   The offering will be expanded to more suburbs in the Cities of Mitcham and Onkaparinga in the following months. We intend to make Flexible Exports option available state-wide by mid-2024

What do I need to do now?

  • Using the updated Eligibility Checker, find out what solar export options are available in your customers’ area. Using the updated Eligibility Checker, find out what solar export options are available in your customers’ area 
  • Comply with the Dynamic Export Requirements and ensure that every exporting system you apply for installation is dynamic exports capable. 
  • Understand what equipment is accredited for installation through the Clean Energy Council’s (CEC) inverter list or those listed on SA Power Networks’ deemed to comply list.
  • Be aware of installations that are exempt from the regulations. Find out more on the SA Government website.
  • Ensure Flexible Exports sites are operating correctly, completing the capability test in SmartInstall at the time of installation. Flexible installation that are not close out in SmartInstall will be considered non-compliant, and count towards your compliance percentage.
